How Tianjin Jiguang Builds High-Value 3D Printing Service Capabilities with the 310 APOLLO and 610HT

INTRODUCTION

From large, complex high-temperature parts to the rapid production of small and midsize parts made from high-performance materials, the combination of the INTAMSYS FUNMAT PRO 310 APOLLO and 610HT helps Tianjin Jiguang Additive improve delivery efficiency and maintain consistent quality across its industrial 3D printing services.

01

The Competitive Advantage of a 3D Printing Service Provider Comes from Responding Reliably to Complex Requirements

Tianjin Jiguang believes that the core competitiveness of a 3D printing service provider lies in its ability to address diverse requirements while maintaining delivery efficiency, consistent quality, and operational efficiency.

In the 3D printing service industry, customer requirements rarely come with a standard answer.

Different materials, part sizes, geometries, and performance requirements—combined with delivery schedules, quality consistency, and cost control—create the real-world challenges that 3D printing service providers face every day.

For Tianjin Jiguang Additive Technology Co., Ltd., competitiveness is not simply about whether a part can be printed. It is about meeting a wide range of customer requirements reliably, efficiently, and economically. The choice of equipment partner therefore directly affects the types of orders a service provider can accept, how efficiently those orders can be delivered, and whether consistent quality can be maintained over time.

02

From Standard Polymers to High-Performance Materials: Service Capabilities Define Business Potential

Orders involving standard polymers and general-purpose engineering materials are an important part of a service center’s daily operations. In many industrial applications, however, high-performance material orders involve greater technical challenges and higher order values, making them more important to both revenue growth and profitability.

For this reason, Jiguang Additive evaluates more than the specifications of an individual printer. It considers an entire set of capabilities:

Does the system support a sufficiently broad range of materials? Are equipment stability and print success rates high enough? Are part accuracy, strength, and consistency reliable? Can orders be delivered quickly, and can operating costs be controlled?

These considerations are also why Jiguang Additive continues to choose INTAMSYS.

The INTAMSYS production-grade printer portfolio covers applications ranging from engineering materials to high-performance polymers. Together with material process development, software-enabled traceability, and technical support, this comprehensive solution better equips 3D printing service providers to handle orders from multiple industries with widely varying requirements.

Jiguang Additive:
Beyond Prototypes and into High-Value Industrial Applications

Jiguang Additive applies 3D printing to high-value applications including functional prototypes, tooling and fixtures, low-volume production, spare parts, and end-use part manufacturing.

Tianjin Jiguang Additive is not a 3D printing service provider focused only on basic visual prototypes. By addressing the real application requirements of industrial customers, the company is expanding 3D printing into higher-value applications. Customers in these markets care about more than appearance—they also require material performance, dimensional accuracy, part strength, reliability, short lead times, and batch-to-batch consistency.

Serving this customer base requires equipment capable of handling multiple levels of demand, from routine engineering material orders to high-performance polymer applications. INTAMSYS provides Jiguang Additive with more than individual machines: it delivers a coordinated equipment portfolio and process support designed for industrial additive manufacturing services.

04

Why Add the 310 APOLLO?
Not as a Replacement, but to Create a More Efficient Production Strategy

Jiguang Additive had already deployed multiple INTAMSYS FUNMAT PRO 610HT systems. As a production-grade platform designed for high-temperature materials and large-format applications, the 610HT plays an important role in the company’s equipment portfolio.

As its order mix continued to expand, however, Jiguang Additive found that not every job was best suited to a large-format system.

Using the 610HT for every small or midsize functional part, engineering material component, low-volume order, or rapid validation part would occupy capacity needed for larger, higher-value projects. It could also make the production cost and turnaround time of smaller parts less efficient.

Jiguang Additive therefore added several INTAMSYS FUNMAT PRO 310 APOLLO systems. The decision builds on the partnership established through its use of the 610HT while further strengthening the company’s INTAMSYS equipment portfolio.

The role of the 310 APOLLO is not to replace the 610HT. Its purpose is to route each order to the production system best suited to the job:

The 610HT continues to handle large, complex high-temperature parts, while the 310 APOLLO provides rapid production of small and midsize parts made from high-performance and engineering materials.

05

310 APOLLO:
Rapid Production of Small and Midsize High-Performance Parts

The FUNMAT PRO 310 APOLLO offers a build volume of 305 × 260 × 260 mm, a maximum nozzle temperature of 450°C, and a chamber temperature of up to 100°C. It supports high-performance materials including PEEK, PEKK, PPA, and PPS, as well as a broad range of engineering polymers.

The system features independent dual extrusion, with PEEK printing speeds of up to 200 mm/s. For a 3D printing service provider, these specifications mean more than faster printing. They translate into greater order throughput, more efficient equipment utilization, and better control over operating costs.

06

INTAMQuality™:
Greater Process Traceability for High-Value Parts

INTAMQuality 3D printing process traceability software
INTAMQuality™ provides visual analysis of print process logs, helping service providers strengthen process traceability and customer confidence in part quality.

In addition to printing hardware, process traceability and quality management are becoming essential capabilities for industrial 3D printing service providers.

This is one of the factors that distinguishes the INTAMSYS solution from a hardware-only offering. INTAMQuality™ print process traceability software imports print logs and provides layer-by-layer, step-by-step visualization of the manufacturing process. Users can identify deviations between actual print data and the G-code, compare print processes across multiple production batches, and generate detailed print reports.

For high-value functional parts and orders with stringent quality requirements, this process data helps strengthen customer confidence in manufacturing stability and consistency.

07

From 3D Printing Services to High-Value Additive Manufacturing

Looking ahead, Jiguang Additive plans to continue expanding its industrial additive manufacturing capabilities around high-value applications such as functional prototypes, tooling and fixtures, low-volume production, spare parts, and end-use part manufacturing.

By combining the 610HT, 310 APOLLO, and INTAMQuality™, Jiguang Additive is building a more complete industrial additive manufacturing service platform. The 610HT supports large, complex high-temperature parts; the 310 APOLLO increases the speed and efficiency of producing small and midsize parts from high-performance and engineering materials; and the process traceability software strengthens confidence in manufacturing quality.

For INTAMSYS, Jiguang Additive’s experience also demonstrates the value of production-grade additive manufacturing solutions in the 3D printing service market. The goal is not simply to provide equipment, but to connect material capabilities, equipment allocation, process traceability, and operational efficiency within an integrated production system.

INTAMSYS will continue to support 3D printing service providers with production-grade additive manufacturing equipment, material and process expertise, software capabilities, and technical support—helping them improve efficiency, expand their application range, and advance 3D printing from prototyping into broader industrial production.
